Pointer5 collaborated with JunctionX Lisbon and in partnership with Instituto Superior Técnico support the design and facilitation of one of Portugal’s most dynamic hackathons, bringing together students, developers, and aspiring innovators to solve real-world challenges through technology.

 

Focused on applied problem-solving across areas such as AI, health and sustainability, the event provided participants with a fast-paced environment to prototype solutions, collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, and engage directly with industry mentors and technical experts.

Our contribution involved strategic program support and the recruitment of corporate partners to co-design and launch the hackathon challenges. This included identifying high-impact thematic areas, aligning problem statements with industry needs, and coordinating partner engagement to ensure a strong technical and innovation-driven experience for participants.

Through this collaboration, the hackathon became a platform that connects emerging talent with real market problems, driving experimentation and strengthening Portugal’s position in the global hackathon community.
